Bakersfield community members held a breakfast fundraiser (raising $25,000) at the KLEA Banquet Hall Saturday morning to support Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy Jasmine Francisco, who battled cancer and faced over $50,000 in home repair costs from black mold in her new home.

The funds helped cover medical bills and costs for alternative housing (including attorney fees and mold testing) as she began moving in with her daughters.
