- ➤ Bakersfield community members held a breakfast fundraiser (raising $25,000) at the KLEA Banquet Hall Saturday morning to support Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy Jasmine Francisco, who battled cancer and faced over $50,000 in home repair costs from black mold in her new home. - ➤ Fire crews are battling the Richbar Fire on Highway 178 near the Richbar Picnic Area — the vegetation fire started around 6 p.m. and has grown to 80 acres while officials say it poses no threat to structures as they closed canyon access. 23ABC News
