COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Honor Flight Kern County sent more than 100 veterans (including Korean War and Vietnam War veterans) from Meadows Field to Washington, D.C. this morning on a charter flight. They will visit national memorials all day tomorrow and return to Bakersfield around 6:30 p.m., with the public invited to welcome them home.  23ABC News

  • On Monday, April 20, KCMEA Jazz Day took place at Bakersfield College's Indoor Theater where high school bands and BC Jazz groups performed and attended workshops with guest clinician Cathlene Pineda (CalArts co-director) as music fans gathered for the largest event yet.  Bakersfield College
