  • Former Bakersfield CHP Explorer Alesandro Robles graduated from the CHP Academy in Sacramento as an Officer yesterday — he will begin a three-month in-field training at the East Los Angeles office next week, officials said.  Bakersfield Now
  • Today, the Supreme Court declined to review a discrimination case after Tastries Bakery refused to bake a same-sex wedding cake, leaving intact an appellate ruling that found the refusal discriminatory (the bakery owner affirmed her commitment to her faith).  Bakersfield Now
