Chevron Corporation fired 75 workers from its San Joaquin Valley headquarters and Kern River Field in Bakersfield early this morning.
The permanent layoffs follow an earlier round of 50 cuts and give affected employees severance pay, medical care, training and help with job placement as oil companies trim jobs due to falling crude prices and higher tariffs.
