Longtime fans and families gathered at Bakersfield College on Saturday for a homecoming game that celebrated 70 years of Memorial Stadium and nearly 20 years of tailgating tradition—linking the past with the present.
Former player Shawn Underwood recalled fun memories from his time on campus and said his family will keep the tradition strong—while Interim Athletics Director Ayanna Tweedy noted the stadium’s historic role on campus.
