- ➤ A 53-year-old Bakersfield man named Steven Paul Garcia was charged on August 26 when officers in Fresno County stopped him and found 22 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle as part of Operation Take Back America — carried out by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Bakersfield Police, and DEA. - ➤ On August 30, RBI Services Inc. on Flightpath Way and Flyover was robbed of about $15,000 in tools when two men cut the lock at 7:05 a.m.—employees discovered the theft on September 2 and police later received a report while the business upgraded its security with a Ring camera. Bakersfield Now
