- ➤ Early Thursday, a 64-year-old man riding his bicycle in northwest Bakersfield was struck by a vehicle and killed—Kern County coroner’s office reported Friday. The Bakersfield Californian
- ➤ The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified 47-year-old Holly Ann Diaz as the driver in a fatal accident on August 6 near Zerker Road and Lerdo Highway—her vehicle veered off the road into a Shafter canal where she drowned. Bakersfield Now

- ➤ Two Bakersfield residents—a man and a woman—were found dead on Wednesday evening in the 500 block of Buckley Avenue, as confirmed by the Kern County coroner’s office. The Bakersfield Californian
- ➤ A Bakersfield family has continued their search for justice three years after 21-year-old Tyis Rush was fatally shot on Planz Road, as they hold annual vigils to remember him and urge anyone with information to call the Bakersfield Police—no arrests have been made yet. 23ABC News
- ➤ On August 13, Bakersfield officers arrested 48-year-old Teresa Juarez for drug charges after searching her home in the 100 block of Ohio Dr.—they found about 6 grams of suspected meth and drug paraphernalia while records showed she had 2 prior convictions under Prop 36. Bakersfield Now
- ➤ Bakersfield police are asking the public to help identify three robbery suspects who entered the Brundage Lane Swap Meet on Aug. 8 at 10:35 a.m., armed with a rifle and pistol and stealing jewelry from a display before fleeing in a black GMC Yukon with temporary plates, and anyone with information should call Detective Robert Tyo at (661) 326-3810 or the BPD at (661) 327-7111.
