- ➤ Police say speed and drugs may have led to a fatal accident today at 4:57 a.m. on the 4400 block of Union Avenue when a Hyundai crossed into opposing traffic westbound of Panorama Drive and collided with a Jeep, killing a 16-year-old passenger and injuring four others. KUZZ

- ➤ Authorities investigated a suspicious fire at Superior Mobile Home Park in Oildale when the burned body of Linda Kelly was found around 2:00 a.m. Friday, marking the third fire in four months (the May 31 event claimed the life of Amber Wimberly and two dogs while the June 19 incident caused no injuries).
