- ➤ The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for help finding 16-year-old Gabriella Pauline Perez Vasquez, who was last seen on July 13 at 12:30 a.m. in the 12700 block of Molokai Dr in northwest Bakersfield wearing a gray sweater, gray leggings and black tennis shoes and described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 90 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, a dermal piercing under her left eye, a nose stud and a dollar sign tattoo on her middle finger; anyone with information is urged to call 6613277111. - ➤ The Kern County Sheriff's Office began investigating a suspicious death in Oildale on July 13 at 817 Beardsley Ave as detectives took over the case—no further details are available yet. Bakersfield Now
- ➤ Fernando Jara, the husband of Kern County 5th District Supervisor Leticia Perez, was arrested Saturday afternoon on charges of threatening with intent to terrorize near Alta Vista Drive — Jefferson Street as law enforcement confirmed a domestic incident and he was booked into Lerdo Jail on $20,000 bail.
