Two inmates—David Charles Macon and Michael Gaddy—were convicted on July 9 for attacking another inmate on April 7 at Kern Valley State Prison in Delano using inmate-made stabbing weapons that caused at least eight wounds and now face additional penalties with a sentencing hearing set for August 1.
