- ➤ Police responded early Saturday on the 6400 block of Springtime Court in southwest Bakersfield when an assault left one victim dead—another victim in stable condition and the suspect critically injured—as officers used non-lethal force to secure the suspect. KGET
- ➤ On July 3, BPD responded to an assault call at Walmart on Gosford Rd—when the suspect charged at officers with a knife and they used their firearm, leaving her hospitalized in stable condition while an investigation is underway. 23ABC News
- ➤ BPD is asking for help finding three at-risk children—Frankie, 13, Gemini, 8 and Genesis, 8—who were last seen on July 4 at 1:40 p.m. in southwest Bakersfield when they entered a black sedan on the 10000 block of Arden Villa Dr. Bakersfield Now
- ➤ The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for help to find at-risk adult Luis Cordero, 59, who was last seen on July 4th around 8:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Seligman Dr in southwest Bakersfield—he is described as 5’07” tall, 201 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a grey shirt with 'land of the free' printed on it, shorts, and Adidas shoes and socks.
