- ➤ On June 21, 2025, the Bakersfield Police Department asked for community help in finding 14-year-old Addison Gamino, who was last seen around 9:00 p.m. in the 700 block of Real Rd. and is described as 5'5" tall with long brown hair — a vulnerable youth with no history of running away. - ➤ Bakersfield police are asking for help finding missing 15-year-old girl Alessandra Areli Ochoa Lopez, who was last seen on the 1000 block of 33rd St on June 22 at 12:01 a.m. wearing gray and black pajamas and a black hooded sweatshirt (5'2", 150 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes) and is considered at risk (call 661-327-7111 if you have information). - ➤ Starting July 1, 2025, California bars with a Type 48 license will offer drink lids upon request and display safety notices to warn against drink tampering, building on a 2024 law that required test kits. The rule will cover about 2,400 establishments and run as a two-year pilot program — ending January 1 unless extended by the legislature. 23ABC News
- ➤ Kern County Supervisors will hold a public hearing this week at the Administrative Building on Truxtun Avenue to review proposed zoning changes that may allow oil drilling in unincorporated areas. The new plan updates safety zones over more than two million acres + previous court decisions blocked drilling in 2020 and 2024 because of environmental concerns. KUZZ
