- ➤ Just after 10 p.m., the Kern County Fire Department responded to a fire at Poso Creek Family Dairy on the 13000 block of Gun Club Road—evacuating employees and nearby residents in a two-mile radius as nearly 20,000 gallons of compressed natural gas were threatened, and the fire was later put out without injuries since the pressure relief valves worked correctly. - ➤ Bakersfield authorities said 71-year-old Neal Stuart Pendleton—accused of sharing child pornography—was arraigned on two felony charges Monday, is held at Lerdo Jail on $100,000 bail and will have a preliminary hearing June 30 following a search warrant served June 9 on Shattuck Avenue. KGET
- ➤ Nathon Ramirez, an alleged DUI driver, failed to appear in court after a June 10 crash at the intersection of Union and East California that fatally injured a Dodge Charger driver; he faces four felony charges including gross vehicular manslaughter, driving without a license, and speeding, and his arraignment is scheduled for this afternoon.
