ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Sheriff’s officials said a man went missing near Old Isabella Road Recreation Site at Lake Isabella on Saturday at about 6:20 p.m. after swimming without a life jacket and was found dead Sunday—officials urge using Coast Guard-approved flotation devices.  KGET
  • Kern County firefighters responded to a mobile home fire in the 6000 block of State Road in northwest Bakersfield on May 31 at 1:36 p.m., finding local resident Amber Marie Wimberley (52) and two dogs dead while one person and one dog outside were injured and investigators from the fire department and sheriff’s office began examining the scene.  KGET
  • Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash on Westside Parkway on Sunday when officers responded at 3:17 p.m. and found a driver suffering major injuries after traveling at high speed, losing control, striking a guard rail, and overturning the vehicle - the driver was transported to a hospital while toxicology tests are pending.  KGET

  • Bakersfield police arrested 30-year-old Jason Garibay on Monday, June 2 at 5:13 a.m. after officers found a body in an east Bakersfield apartment on South Williams Street—he now faces murder and related charges.  Bakersfield Now
  • A GoFundMe has been set up for the children of Taylor Denay Dominguez—killed on May 28 at a graduation party on Monterey Street by her estranged husband Rafael Estrada—to help cover immediate needs and relocation.  KGET
  • Bakersfield Police Department is asking the community to help locate 17-year-old Aubree Ana Hernandez, who was last seen May 31 in the 5700 block of Marbella Street—she is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt; anyone with information should call 661-327-7111.  KGET
