Bakersfield National Cemetery hosted a Memorial Day weekend service to honor veterans who sacrificed for freedom as community members gathered to pay tribute to their legacy.

Taft College graduates celebrated commencement Friday evening at the Marion Martin Memorial Stadium at Taft Union High School with many including kinesiology major Cody Clark and sociology student LaPortsha Gage planning to transfer to Cal State-Bakersfield this fall.
