The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the public for help finding 16-year-old Jakely Nataly Osoriovargas, who was last seen on May 13 at 7:20 a.m. on the 300 block of Truxtun Avenue near V Street — she is considered at risk.
Kern County SEIU workers plan a strike on June 3 and 4 to demand higher wages and better funding for public services after they rejected a 3% raise offer.
County officials say funds are limited — union leaders say the strike is needed — and mediation continues.

The funds will support a 65-bed treatment facility for adults and perinatal women at the Country Inn and Suites on Wible Road — the facility will be maintained with opioid settlement dollars and managed by Kern County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.
