- ➤ A Kern County inmate—Tony Wilson, 39, who shot at a Los Angeles police officer during a robbery in April 2006—is serving time for two drug convictions and was denied parole by the California Board of Parole Hearings last week, which ruled he still poses a danger and will not be eligible for parole again for ten years.
