  • A 57-year-old man died in a frontal collision on Weedpatch Highway late Friday night when his Ford veered into the northbound lane and struck a Toyota driven by a 39-year-old man who suffered minor injuries—he was taken to Kern Medical.  Bakersfield Now

  • On Friday, the Kern County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies arrested two men on suspicion of operating a meth lab.  The Bakersfield Californian

HEALTH NEWS

  • More than 100 people gathered at CSUB Saturday morning to protest U.S. Representatives David Valadao and Vince Fong's plan to cut Medicaid—marching from campus to Fong's office to stand for healthcare rights.
