On Saturday, Bakersfield honored community leader John Enriquez with a tribute at the Walk of Stars outside Fox Theatre—he died last November after a battle with prostate cancer and was known for his work to beautify the city.
Local residents gathered last Saturday morning for Autism on the Run to raise awareness during Autism Awareness Month — families, runners and vendors came together to show support for those with autism.

The Rock Church feeds between 180 and 240 families each third Saturday from its parking lot — over 50 volunteers helped load food ahead of Easter next weekend.

NFL players Jordan Love and Krys Barnes returned to Liberty High School in Bakersfield on Saturday to host a youth football camp for local children aged 8 to 18.
They taught drills such as passing, blocking, and tackling—more than 200 students and parents participated in the camp, now in its third year.
