  • Local economics professor Aaron Hegde warned that a US-Iran conflict may soon raise gas prices and inflation, affecting Kern County consumers. He said that if oil prices reach over $100 a barrel, increased drilling may bring more jobs — though exports could drop if the dollar strengthens.  23ABC News
