  • Caleb, a calm two-year-old dog at Kern County Animal Services, is available for adoption as his fee is waived after over 30 days in care. The shelter announced that registration for World Spay Day opens today at 8:00 a.m. with the event set for Feb. 24.  23ABC News

  • Officials at the Historic Union Cemetery confirmed vandals bent and destroyed metal flag poles at the veterans memorial over the weekend and restricted access while working with the Veterans Administration on repairs + asking for community donations.  23ABC News

  • After a lockdown yesterday at Panorama Campus due to an anonymous threat, Bakersfield College interim president Stacy Pfluger said classes resumed and students can meet with staff and mental health specialists.
