  • Mr. Dimples, the community food truck owner, is honored today for helping National Guard troops during the government shutdown and for donating food truck proceeds to the Blood Cancer Foundation.   • Additional security and officers were at Foothill High School Tuesday after a non-credible social media threat about possible weapons on campus, and officials confirmed that police dismissed the alert after reviewing the situation.  Bakersfield Now

  • On Tuesday, Jan. 27, over 25 Kern County school districts reported a two-hour fog delay affecting bus services and classes + Bakersfield City School District had delays for buses only.  Bakersfield Now
  • Bakersfield City School District named Dr. Karling Aguilera-Fort as its permanent superintendent after a board vote Tuesday night, following his interim leadership since July; his contract runs through June 2028 and he brings nearly 30 years of education experience.  23ABC News
